This 34.5-mile highway is known as the best fall foliage highway in the state, thereby earning the designation of an American Scenic Byway. But the best part of this drive is that it’s gorgeous all year long!
This area is a short drive from Lincoln, and the views along the way are just as pretty as the overlook.
The road that it sits on is one of the oldest and most beloved roads in New Hampshire. It opened in the summer of 1959, and links Conway to Lincoln. The highway offered a chance to showcase the panoramic views that up until this time had only been seen by loggers and park rangers.
