Northern New Hampshire always seems like a world away from the rest of the state whenever I visit. The pace is slower, the presence of the natural surroundings is greater, and life just seems simpler and more relaxed. Because of this, I really think it’s a place that should be experienced first-hand. Out of all of the NH summer festivals, there’s one event that truly showcases this region.

The North Country Moose Festival takes place over two days in August; the first day is in Colebrook, NH before moving over to Canaan, VT.
