There are 102 acres of fun in this great park; visitors can enjoy biking, picnicking, camping, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, photography, wildlife viewing, and so much more.
Two of the best features of this park are its 1932 fire tower and its yurts. You can enjoy both of these things in one awesome day. Read on to learn more.

The Granite State has about 250 wildfires per year that burn about 250 acres per year. Most of the year, no one lives in the tower. However, the New Hampshire Division of Forest and Lands uses the tower during the summer months - prime fire season - to keep an eye out for fires before they get out of control. Part-time forest aides also teach visitors about fire prevention while stationed there.
