Here in New England, we have access to quite a few different types of food from all over the world. That’s because we’re lucky enough to have our own melting pot with cultures and people from just about everywhere. We’re grateful to have it all nearby, but lately, we’re really loving that French Canadian culture. And there’s nothing we love more about that than poutine! For some of the best head straight to this spot serving up some seriously huge portions.
Cafe Vachon in Manchester has become a local favorite for the perfect breakfast and lunch. But, it's their giant portion of poutine that always comes to mind when we see this unassuming spot on Kelley Street.
One of the things we love best about this place is that it blends in. The inside is not particularly unique. There's plenty of room, lots of seating, and the staff is friendly. You might not have any idea that the dishes here will have you full all day. And that they taste absolutely incredible.
But before you think this is a one-trick pony, remember that they have a wide variety of other things to choose from. Order the crepes to keep the French theme going.
And always look a their unique specials before making any decisions. You can expect to see options like these waffle sliders with bacon, egg and cheese.
And if you're feeling like you want to be just slightly more healthy, choose any of their omelet options. This spinach one looks great, but remember that huge portions don't end with their poutine. This is massive, too!
No matter what you order, you'll be satisfied and that's why this is a mainstay on our must-visit list when we're in the area.
Chez Vachon is open every day from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. You can learn more about them by being sure to follow along on Facebook. And you can reach them on 603-625-9660.
