More than ever, people are looking to eat healthier, whether that’s at home or out. These days, many restaurants offer gluten-free options for those sensitive to gluten, but sometimes they are still hard to find. Fortunately, there’s a restaurant in Portsmouth, New Hampshire where everything on the menu can be made gluten-free and you’re going to love eating there.
The Kitchen began life in 2011 and was founded by Chefs and Co-Owners Matthew Greco and Michael Prete. The restaurant's location was formerly "Celebrity Sandwich", a neighborhood staple for over two decades.
The Kitchen provides a funky, comfortable atmosphere that continues its neighborhood hangout feel from the past. With sandwiches still a major focus, the menu offerings here are more than your standard box lunch fare.
Past Gluten-free specials at The Kitchen have included this delicious polenta pizza, made fresh with roasted garlic, bacon, caramelized onion, spinach, and mozzarella. Grab just a slice or get a whole pie!
After the main meal, follow up with a delicious gluten-free dessert like the pumpkin cupcakes. These sweets are topped with a cream cheese frosting and maple caramel sauce.
