We love a good ghost story any time of year and that’s why we love that New Hampshire has so many of them! Of course, that should come as no surprise in a state that was founded in 1776, making it one of the oldest “official” states in the country. If you enjoy the spookier side of the state as much as we do consider a trip to Alton to visit one of the most haunted buildings around.
Alton Town Hall is operational and open for official business from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. We recommend you don’t go visiting just to find a ghost, but it is a lovely history piece of the town’s history to enjoy from the outside. Have you experienced any creepy occurrences while inside? We’d love to hear your story in the comments!
