If you’re anything like us you wake up thinking about the meals that await you during the day! Breakfast is first on our minds, but lunch and dinner are quickly up on deck. We love homemade meals, but when we know a meal out is in store we begin going through our mental list of great New Hampshire spots. This one, in Gilford, is new for us and we’re loving just how unique it is!
Ellacoya Barn & Grille in Gilford offers a rustic Steakhouse experience with a little something extra that we haven't found anywhere else.
Or course, this isn't the only restaurant that can be found inside a restored barn. In a place like New Hampshire, there are tons! But this one offers a vibe and ambiance that feels truly one-of-a-kind.
First, we love just how cozy the place is. The original feel of the barn still exists which makes it feels as though you might have showed up after a long trip to visit a local farm's actual barn.
And in addition to having so many original details, Ellacoya still has the horse stalls that once existed! The stalls that have been lovingly restored now offer booth seating. Tuck into your own private dining table to enjoy your food and you'll probably agree that there's no place quite like it.
And, whatever it is you choose, don't even think about leaving before ordering dessert. They change, so consider this your excuse to come back multiple times.
And make sure you arrive hungry. If you arrive to find that the booth stalls are not available, don't worry! There are plenty of barn-vibes to be had anywhere you get a seat.
Ellacoya Barn & Grille is open Monday through Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. and on Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. You can learn more about the space and the see the menu by checking out their website. You should also give them a follow on Facebook. They can be reached on 603-293-8700.
