Are you looking to have an epic day in nature that includes taking a hike and spending time on the water? If so, how about hitting Mount Morgan Trail near Holderness, New Hampshire. After you’ve reached the summit, head back down the trail to your car and take a 10-minute drive north to Squam Lakes Natural Science Center. Here, you’ll have the option to choose from one of six 90-minute cruise experiences on Squam Lake.
Due to weather conditions, May through October is the ideal time to hit Mount Morgan Trail.
It should take close to three hours to complete this moderate level in and back trail. As you head to the summit, you'll be treated to breathtaking views like the one in this photo.
In addition to being a fun way to relax after hiking, a cruise run by Squam Lakes Natural Science Center is an ideal way to get a first-hand look at the beauty in this part of New Hampshire.
