There really isn’t a bad meal here in New Hampshire. From city restaurants to smaller mom and pop shops, there’s something for every taste and every level of hunger. But a lot of people believe they need to rush to the larger towns and cities to enjoy some of the best. We disagree! In fact, the eateries found in these farmhouses are delicious and they’re totally worth the trip. Oh, and spoiler alert: some of these are actually not terribly rural!
The Smuttynose Brewery's restaurant once went by the name "Hayseed," but today things are slightly less confusing. The eatery is located within a historic home and the food coming out is absolutely great. Comfort foods like burgers and fries are just the beginning so make your way to the brewery to check it out.
Now located in the Lyme Inn in Lyme, this little spot has always been known for the incredible food that was prepared in a small farmhouse kitchen. While it might be housed in a different structure, those farmhouse vibes are still very much a part of each and every meal. The food here is delicious, while also feeling cozy and homey.
This cozy spot has two different locations, but we love this one for its lovely new building. We also love the hearty meals served here. Go for the steak if you're really hungry or opt for something like a cheesesteak for a quick bit. Either way, you'll be coming back again.
You'll be taking things back to the 1850s when you step inside this farmhouse in Plymouth. The fireplace here will warm you up on a cold night and the outdoor dining is perfect for warmer weather. Year-round their food is delicious, comforting, and filling.
Owned by the Common Man Restaurant Group, this farmhouse gem is a favorite among people all over the state. While they might be best known for their brick oven pizza, we love their main courses best. Tuck into some tasty pasta or gnocchi and then make plans to come back for more! We love this place so much we dedicated an entire feature to it and you can check it out here.
Known for delicious small plates, this restaurant can be found inside a farmhouse that's more than 200 years old. You'll find it on the Mystic Meadows golf course. Plan to visit when they've got some live piano music planned and you'll love your visit even more.
