4. Spend a day on the farm
Fall isn't complete without a trip to one of New Hampshire's many farms. We recommend Emery Farm in Durham, which even has a petting zoo! While you're there, be sure to get a
scrumptious
cider donut !
5. Check out the foliage from the water
The reflection of red and orange leaves on water is gorgeous - and what better way to admire that than by boat? Portsmouth Harbor Cruises offers a great
foliage boat tour that you'll love.
6. Experience Oktoberfest
A number of Oktoberfests are held throughout the state - Anheuser Busch in Merrimack is a great one. Held each weekend for a month, it's the perfect opportunity to visit the brewery (and the Clydesdales)!
7. Take a beautiful foliage hike
There are so many hikes in New Hampshire that are extra gorgeous in the fall. If you don't have a lot of time but you want a perfect photo op, check out
Glen Ellis Falls in Jackson. The short trail will take you right to a beautiful waterfall.
8. Get lost in a corn maze
Corn mazes are the perfect seasonal activity for the whole family - we love the maze at J & F Farms in Derry.
9. Go apple picking
There's nothing better than going apple picking and then going home to make a pie with your prizes. Applecrest Farm Orchards in Hampton Falls is one of the best orchards in the state.
