So what if you don’t ski but still want that thrill of flying down a mountain slope. What do you do? While some of New Hampshire’s ski areas close up shop during the summer, others keep going. At this time of year zipping down a mountain coaster like the one at Cranmore Mountain in Conway is the perfect way to satisfy that need for speed.
1,677 ft. Cranmore Mountain is one in a chain of peaks known as the Green Hills and is located in the Mt. Washington Valley. Perhaps most well-known for its ski area, in summer the mountain has no shortage of fun things to do. Their Summer Mountain Adventure Park features an exciting mountain coaster that you have to ride.
A slow tow to the top of the coaster is sure to get the adrenalin ready for the trip down. Once at the top of the coaster, the 2,390 ft. descent winds through the woods and across Cranmore's ski slopes.

The coaster is fun for all ages and will make adults feel like a kid again. Riders can go solo or with a friend, and kids three years of age and up are welcome with an adult.

Riders can control their own speed on the descent. You can take it slow and easy for a leisurely ride, or skip the brakes until the end for the express route!

On the way down, be sure to smile (or scream!) for the camera as you arrive at the base. Photographic proof of your ride is available at the souvenir photo booth.
While Cranmore Mountain's elevation is comparatively low, its open slopes provide excellent views of the higher peaks to the west, south, and north. These views can be appreciate if you dare look up from the ride!
Cranmore's mountain coaster is not just open during the summer. In winter, you can experience the same thrill of zipping down the slopes surrounded by the added beauty of snow.
Cranmore Mountain overlooks the village of North Conway. This year-round resort and tourist town has just about anything a visitor to New Hampshire could want. Quaint shops, eclectic dining and easy access to the White Mountains are all within easy reach after your ride.
