If there’s a time of year to be in New Hampshire, this is it! You could argue that summertime is the best. And, while we agree that it’s pretty great to enjoy the sunshine here, we’re partial to the cozy vibes and cheer that come with exploring the state in December. There are lots of places to get into the holiday spirit. The small towns are some of the best. But, for a truly remarkable night out, you’ll want to head this this little city.
Portsmouth might be the obvious choice to most tourists, but that doesn't need locals should avoid it altogether this season.
We don't recommend you stay on the main street here. Rather, be sure to explore all the little nooks and crannies. This way you'll be sure to see all the lights and cheer.
No matter when you visit or what you plan on doing, you'll love simply exploring all that downtown has to offer. From decked out restaurants to lots of places for holiday shopping, this is a great place to visit if you want to get into the Christmas spirit.
