Getting outside in New Hampshire is the best way to clear your head and enjoy some peace and quiet. Fortunately, with nearly unlimited access to the forest, there’s no shortage of ways to do it! There are plenty of hikes and walks, but we think the best way to soak up the natural landscape of the state is from above. This canopy tour offers some of the best views you can imagine and there’s still plenty of time to enjoy it!
The Omni Mount Washington Resort in Bretton Woods might be known best for being both stunningly beautiful and, perhaps, just a bit haunted.
While it's worth a visit for those two things, making your way to Bretton Woods will also allow you to experience their incredible zipline canopy tour.
The Bretton Woods Canopy Tour is operated completely sustainably, which means the impact on the environment is minimal. Their tree platforms are made of locally harvested wood using only those that can easily regenerate.
This is where you'll be fitted with all of your safety gear and led through a demonstration to make sure you're comfortable and ready for your tour. Each group has two experienced guides for up to eight people which makes for a hands-on experience.
The tour features nine ziplines which are between 120 and 830 feet long! These are up to 165 feet off the forest floor, making for some seriously amazing views.
There are also two sky bridges and three rappels which range from 9 to 65 feet. The resting points are the 16 tree platforms which range from 10 to 70 feet high.
This is one of the most fun guided outdoor activities in New Hampshire and we think you'll love it just as much as we do!
Bretton Woods Canopy Tours are three hours and take place every day. Tours are limited to eight people and will only include those in your own party to limit your time around people you’re not familiar with. All participants must be 4’6″ tall and weigh between 90 and 250 pounds. You can learn more about the experience on their website and you can book your tour here. Be sure to follow Bretton Woods on Facebook, too! They can be reached on 603-278-4947.
