The Dreamy Lavender Farm In New Hampshire You'll Want To Visit This Spring

Many of us think of New Hampshire farms when it’s time to find the perfect pumpkin or spend the day apple picking. But, we love that spring brings some of our favorite types of farms – flower farms! This one is extra-special because the blooms here smell absolutely incredible. And the color? That purple is unmistakable. This lavender farm offers a truly unique way to enjoy the soon-to-come warmer weather in the Granite State.

Laromay Lavender Farm in Hollis started out as a hobby project for the owners, but today it's one of the largest farms of its type in New England.

They have over 13 different varieties of lavender comprised of more than 300 plants.

They've been around for over ten years, which means walking through the farm means smelling plants that have been cultivated carefully.

Each variety has a different medicinal purpose, but even those who don't know a lot about the plant will love visiting.

Products made with the Laromay Farm lavender can be found locally at Lull Farm right here in Hollis.

But the farm also hosts an open house during the summer allowing curious visitors to come and visit to learn everything there is to know about this beautiful plant.

You'll want to spend at least a few hours here, if only just sitting and enjoying the calm that lavender naturally brings.

If you'd like to bring a piece of the farm home, you can pick up some wonderful dried plants which smell just as good (if not better!) than the plants ground in the fields.

The lavender grown here is also shared with local soapmakers to be made into luscious self-care creations.

These beautiful plants have so many benefits from calming to medicinal, plus they look and smell beautiful.

Lavender might not be the kind of crop you'd expect to find here in New Hampshire, but we're thankful this farm exists.
