When it comes to eating affordably in New Hampshire, you don’t have to rely on gas station subs and sub-par establishments. There are plenty of places to eat well without breaking the bank. One of the best ways to do it is with a diner. They’ve got extensive menus with just about anything you might be craving. This one is one of our favorites!
Drive by Margie's Dream Diner in Manchester and you might not even know there's a place to eat.
But, those who know will be hard pressed not to stop in for a meal. It's one of the best in the area and, for the size of the meals, you'll be shocked at the price.
Every day sees different specials, but we love the regular menu as well. You can get breakfast and lunch every day, plus they offer a takeout service so you can eat on the go.
While the Greek influence is incredible, you can get American specialties as well. Like the "big breakfast," which comes wbacon, ham and sausage served with home fries, hash browns, potato pancake or homemade beans and toast or English muffin. All for $7.99
If you prefer your breakfasts on the sweeter side dig into the Golden Malted Waffle with your choice of blueberries srawberries, or bananas, or chocolate chips. The total for this? $5.99 plus whatever you choose to add.
Of course, because we're in New England we can't forget that every Friday you'll have the option of ordering fresh haddock and scallops, baked or fried. And, don't forget the fries and onion rings.
Margie’s Dream Diner is located at 172 Hayward St., Manchester. They’re open Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. You can visit on Saturday from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. and on Sunday from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. You can check out their specials on Facebook and see the full menu on their website.
We also love this little restaurant. Located just at the side of the road, the back hides a scenic secret you’ll definitely want to see!
