Though food fads come and go, sandwiches steadfastly stand by us. Perfect mixtures of bread, meat, cheese, vegetables, and flavorful condiments, they somehow always hit the spot. Of course, there are plenty of mediocre sandwiches in the world. That’s why when you find a place that makes great ones, it’s worth shouting about it from the rooftops. We have one such place for you right here in New Hampshire – and best of all, it’s combined with a pub! So whether you want to pick up a sandwich to go, or sit down and enjoy it with a draft beer, you’re sure to be satisfied. It’s no wonder this spot remains popular year after year.
Biedermans Deli and Pub has been a Plymouth favorite (in different incarnations and with different names) since the 1970s. Though it originated as a college town bar, it later on merged with a deli to create the best of both worlds – a pub serving the most amazing sandwiches, along with a great draft beer selection. It's underneath Chase Market – if you have any trouble finding it, the entrance is in the alley to the side.
Inside you'll find a cozy, old fashioned hangout – there's no pretension here, just good friends and good food. It's open for lunch and dinner, and has TVs for watching sports. They even have live music one Friday a month! It's no wonder it's beloved by college students and locals alike.
They're definitely not afraid to get creative with combinations here – a hotdog with coleslaw and fried pickles might sound strange, but it's magnificent.
There's a great beer selection – something you don't usually find in a deli! They have 23 beers on tap at all times, with plenty of local breweries represented.
