It’s these off-the-beaten-path spots that have our heart and they’re typically the places we bring folks who come to visit. So, the next time you feel tempted to go into Portsmouth or Manchester for a meal with pals, consider taking a drive and visiting this spot. The name says it all!

Inside the place is cozy and rustic, with lots of seasonally appropriate decor on the walls. Somehow this place feels like having a family dinner at a friend's house.

They've been around since 1994 cooking up some of the best comfort food meals with locally-sourced ingredients and lots of care.

And it's the dedication to supporting local farmers, artisans, and businesses that make this place a must-visit if you love New Hampshire.

The menu is huge. They have more than 13 sandwiches and almost 10 different kinds of burgers to choose from.

And, of course, no matter where you are in New England you can't miss a lobster roll. Yep, they've got that too. We love that they're so flexible with preparation, too. Don't want something? Want to have something added? They'll do it! They even have a gluten-free menu.

We love the locally sourced ingredients and attention to detail, but somehow the fact that they have sushi is the thing we like best! We haven't seen many places where you can order seriously delicious tavern food *and* sushi at the same meal.

And, as you might suspect, their desserts are delicious and gigantic!
