Remick Country Doctor Museum and Farm in Tamworth is a lovely and fascinating place to visit any time of year — located on the historic homestead of two country doctors,it takes you back to a simpler time when nearly everything is done by hand. If you're looking for a reason to visit, though, their seasonal festivals are especially wonderful.
The farm's great calendar of events is growing this year to include their first-ever Dandelion Festival, which explores all the uses of this under-appreciated plant.
It turns out that the dandelion has had a wide range of uses for hundreds of years! You'll get to taste samples of all kinds of delectable dandelion dishes, drinks, and even test out dandelion cosmetics.
The Dandelion Festival will be held Saturday, May 19, 2018 from 11 a.m.–3 p.m. The cost is $10 per person, $5 for children 5-10, and free for kids 4 and younger.
