As if our average annual temperatures weren't discouraging enough, The Old Farmer's Almanac has predicted that we're going to have a colder winter than normal.

Time to stock up on hot chocolate and your favorite warm and fuzzy socks; this winter is going to be a cold one! According to the predictions made by The Old Farmer's Almanac, known for having roughly 80% accuracy, the coldest periods we'll experience in New Hampshire will be during mid and late December, mid and late January, mid February and early March.
When it comes to how much snow we're going to get? Here's what you can expect.

Also predicted for this year? That New Hampshire's snowiest periods will be during mid November, late January, mid and late February and early to mid March. Even summer is predicted to be cooler than average.

If you're looking to stay away from the coldest areas in our state, then avoid going near places like Mount Washington, the highest peak in the Northeast. This area is known for having some of the coldest temperatures in our state, with an annual average of just 27.3 degrees Fahrenheit!
