The Cleanest Lake In New Hampshire Is An Ideal Summer Day Trip
Despite the fact that New Hampshire has just 13 miles of coastline, most people here consider a beach trip the best say to cool down when the weather gets hot. But, those who love this state know that there are plenty of other ways to enjoy the water in the Granite State. Lakes exist throughout the state, but if you grew up going to the ocean you might think that lakes are mucky and muddy. The reality is that our state’s lakes have some of the cleanest water anywhere in the country! This particular body of water is said to be the cleanest lake in New Hampshire and we plan on visiting it a few times this season.
Newfound Lake is best visited by heading to Wellington State Park, which is open on weekends beginning on May 13, 2023, and open full-time beginning on May 27, 2023. Opening hours are 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., but the gates remain open until 8 p.m. Entry is $5 for adults and $2 for kids up to 11 years of age.
