If you love the mountains, there are lots of places to hide amongst the trees. And if cities are more your speed, we’ve got plenty of those too. But these days one city in particular seems to be at the top of people’s lists. If you have plans to move, you might want to do it soon or face having to wait for things to cool down.
Manchester, located in Hillsborough County, has become the hottest housing market in the country right now, according to Business Insider.
The city is not only the largest in the state, it's also the largest in the northern region of New England. So, it makes sense that it has plenty to draw people in.
Sitting right on the Merrimack River, the city has a rich mill and industrial history. There are also plenty of things to enjoy including the arts, cultural events, and the outdoors making it easy to love it here.
Part of the reason that houses are hitting the market and selling within hours is the work-from-home flexibility that the pandemic that brought to some jobs. Without an office to go to, people in larger cities can choose where to live and many opt for smaller cities like this one.
Of course, the many things to do here help, too. With attractions like the Currier Museum of Art and small shops and restaurants, there's always something to enjoy in Manchester.
