Irish pubs are a common sight in New England – after all, we have plenty of Irish immigrants, and we certainly appreciate good food and drink. But there’s one New Hampshire pub that stands out from the rest for its incredibly unique location. It also happens to have been voted the best Irish pub in the Granite State for several years running, so if you haven’t visited yet, make haste! There’s a Guinness waiting for you.
The Holy Grail Pub in Epping has been an immensely popular spot since it opened in 2008, but the building's history stretches back much further. Built in 1895 as St. Joseph's Church, it served an Epping parish for many years.
Step inside and you'll see that much of the church interior has been preserved, with some careful updates to turn it into a very cool space for eating and drinking.
But of course, you're here to eat! Looking for some classic Irish favorites? They deliver them here. Take the bangers and colcannon – they're soon to become your favorite comfort food.
