Over the past few years, the craft beer scene in New Hampshire has absolutely boomed. We have some really fantastic breweries large and small here in the Granite State, and you’ve probably tried at least a few of their beers – but have you gone behind the scenes to where the action happens? These 9 brewery tours will make you appreciate your next cold one in a whole new way.
1. Tuckerman Brewing Company, Conway
In operation since 1998, this White Mountains brewery has a great facility and delicious beer. They have tours at 2 and 4 p.m. daily, no reservations necessary. Keep an eye out for their concert series! You'll find them at 66 Hobbs St, Conway, NH 03818. Learn more

2. Smuttynose Brewing Company, Hampton
Smuttynose, founded in 1994, has achieved an impressive level of success, with distribution in more than twenty states, as well as Europe and Asia. Their commitment to New Hampshire remains strong though - after all, they're named after one of the Isles of Shoals! Their tours are impressive and free - they just ask for a $2 donation to one of several charities. Of course, you'll probably want to buy some beer in addition to the samples before you leave! 3. 603 Brewery, Londonderry
We love the New Hampshire pride in the name of this brewery! Founded in 2012 by 3 college friends, the brewery produces small batch beer that you've probably seen sold around the state. 4. Henniker Brewing Company, Henniker

5. Portsmouth Brewery, Portsmouth

9. Throwback Brewery, North Hampton
Throwback is a six-year-old brewery with a focus on using locally sourced ingredients. Fittingly, it's located on an old farm. They don't offer regular scheduled tours, but if you can get a group of at least ten people together and contact them in advance, they'll give you a private one for $6 per person!
