There are a surprising number of good dining options North of the Notch, and Pittsburg has become the surprising home of one of the most creative menus in the Granite State.

The Burg hasn't been on the scene for too long, but it has already made its mark on the Great North Woods scene. Though it may not look like much from the outside, the simple exterior hides a real treasure within.

Inside, it's rustic and charming, and the service is friendly and attentive. You'll immediately feel at home here.

Of course, the menu is where this restaurant really shines. Somehow they elevate even the simplest menu items. It's constantly changing, but as an example, when they offered a burger it involved cheese, onion-bacon jam, and lettuce with parmesan-roasted garlic crispy potatoes.

They have a fantastic seasonal approach, with fresh options like smoked pork ribs for the summer.

One of the most unique items on their menu is indisputably the blueberry pizza, complete with smoked mozzarella, house bacon, and smoked maple syrup. It might sound strange, but don't knock it until you try it — this is one of those meals you'll keep thinking about and craving for months and years to come. If that doesn't strike your fancy, there are several other incredible and unique pizzas to choose from.
