Michelle graduated with a communications degree from the S. I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University and in addition to a career in advertising has worked with OnlyInYourState since 2016, where her love for travel and storytelling converges. Alongside writing and exploring, Michelle finds joy in photography, staying active, and time with her family.

There are a huge number of wonderful local shops and restaurants located throughout the Granite State. Some have been around for ages, while others are new and different. Whatever the business, we love supporting local folks to make sure they continue to be a part of the community for years to come. Today’s focus is on a beloved bakery that’s giving back to the community that’s supported them.
And their mission is focused on baking amazing bread and pastries, while also creating a place for folks to gather. All while working to support and contribute to the community.
And they were named to the Best of NH list in 2019. We could have told you they're the best, but it's always nice to make t onto the yearly list published by New Hampshire Magazine!
And while we love them for their freshly baked breads and pastries, right now we're loving their dedication to supporting those at the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Through their website, Blue Loon Bakery is taking donations for both the Kearsarge Lake Sunapee Food Pantry and for workers at the New London Hospital.
And a $5 donation to the New London Hospital provides a box lunch for employees. In fact, they've committed to donating at least $500 worth of meals to the hospital.
While the community comes together to help those in need, we love seeing both local businesses and those on the frontlines being supported.
Blue Loon Bakery is typically open Tuesday through Sunday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Check out their website for any changes to hours and to order online. Click here to donate to the community fund. You can also follow them on Facebook. They can be reached on 603-526-2892.
