When we think of locations around the country where celebrities and other famous figures made their names, you and I might go straight for one of the major cities like New York or Los Angeles. The country’s small towns, however, are often where many big names found inspiration and began their careers. As an example, the hamlet of Madison played a part in the life of one of the most famous people from New Hampshire.

American poet, painter, and author E.E. Cummings was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts, but spent much of his life in Madison, New Hampshire.
