It’s true – New Hampshire is not exactly famous for its Mexican food. But don’t let that dissuade you from trying it when you come across it! After all, we’ve discovered that one small Granite State town has some of the best south-of-the-border dishes you’ve ever tried.
Milford, New Hampshire, is about as different from Mexico as you can get. After all, it's pretty darn far from our nation's southern border — and we get a heck of a lot more snow.
It's a charming town, with quaint traditions like the annual Great Pumpkin Festival. But don't let its small town charm make you think before you think this place is void of culture or good food options!
If you're looking for a break from New England that doesn't require a plane ticket, look no further than Milford's Mi Jalisco. Sure, it looks like just another generic restaurant from the outside, but step inside for a pleasant surprise.
The interior is bright and cheery but simple. But you didn't come here for ornate decorations – you came here for the food.
You'll definitely want to start your meal off with a drink, whether it's a classic margarita or one of Mi Jalisco's other tasty concoctions.
Of course, nothing goes better with a margarita than chips and guacamole, and the snacks here are out of this world.
The tacos here are splendid, with perfectly spiced meat and plenty of toppings to add just the right balance of flavors to each bite.
The burritos, quesadillas, and fajitas are all scrumptious as well.
If you're looking for a change from tacos and fajitas, try something new! Their arroz con pollo is absolutely delightful.
Whatever you do, make sure to save some room for dessert – you'll love the creative and tasty selections here.
You can find Mi Jalisco at 586 Nashua St Ste 14, Milford, New Hampshire. Visit their Facebook page or website for more details.
