Living in the countryside is wonderful, but it certainly comes with sacrifices. One of the biggest ones for many people is a lack of access to amazing restaurants. If you’re a foodie and live in the country that can be hard – but if you live in Wilton, New Hampshire, that’s not a sacrifice you need to make. This small Hillsborough town is home to one of the best restaurants you’ve ever tried.
The gorgeous Hilltop Cafe is located on the Temple Wilton Community Farm in a restored farmhouse dating back to 1765 – so farm-to-table is no exaggeration here.
Hilltop Cafe is primarily a breakfast and lunch spot (more on their weekend dinners later!) and we can guarantee you've never had an omelette with fresher eggs or a sandwich with more flavorful veggies. As it turns out, a biodynamic farm is a pretty darn good location for a cafe.
Their breakfast menu includes a truly scrumptious variety of crepes, as well as some other unconventional choices like breakfast soup, along with favorites like eggs and French toast.
Everything in the bakery case is fresh and delicious. You've never had such a perfectly flaky croissant!
You'll find the most amazing, veggie-filled, colorful lunches here too – bowls of grains, veggies, and sauces that will fill you up and nourish you.
They also offer up the most incredible take-and-bake pizzas, so you can enjoy their perfectly crafted dough and fresh toppings at home.
On Fridays and Saturdays, the cafe opens up for a special dinner experience –evenings at the Hilltop. There's just one seating on Friday and two on Saturday, and the menu is a prix fixe, four-course affair that changes every week. Ever bite is perfect, and the experience is just delightful.
You can find the Hilltop Cafe at 195 Isaac Frye Hwy, Wilton, New Hampshire .
