Michelle's life is a colorful map of exploration and adventure. From the iconic streets of New York to the sunny shores of Florida, the jagged coast of Maine to the rugged terrain of Montana, she's been fortunate to call some of America's most beautiful states home. Beyond the U.S., Michelle's wanderlust has taken her on a motorcycle journey through India, led her to teach English in Hanoi, and saw her studying Spanish in Guatemala. Michelle graduated with a communications degree from the S. I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University and in addition to a career in advertising has worked with OnlyInYourState since 2016, where her love for travel and storytelling converges. Alongside writing and exploring, Michelle finds joy in photography, staying active, and time with her family.

We know, we know. None of us need a new way to spend money. But, while we’re all on some kind of budget we feel like visiting local shops is the best way to spend the money we have. Plus, it’s just plain fun to visit this special spot! Whether you need something for yourself or are in need of a unique gift, this store offers a ton of options. And if you’re not in the market for something new, just take a stroll around. It’s worth it!
The Amish Country Barn in Tilton is as adorable as you'd imagine it is! With its wood exterior and log-cabin feel this is one extra-inviting place to visit.
The American-made furniture and accents are handmade in Amish communities in Pennsylvania and then hand-selected to be picked up and brought to the store in New Hampshire.
And we love the seasonal elements that can be found in the winter. These pieces are sturdy, well-made, and perfect for re-creating the perfect country Christmas.
While we love this place for gifts and other sweet purchases, we also know it's wonderful for filling in rooms in your home. The quality here is better than just about any other national furniture chain and the selection is always changing.
The Amish Country Barn is open Monday and then Wednesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. You can learn more about it by checking out their website or following them on Facebook. They can be reached at 603-527-8193.
