Here Are 8 Crazy Traditions You'll Totally Get If You're From New Hampshire
For most of us everyday life in New Hampshire feels pretty normal. We go to work, go to school and spend time with our friends and family. But every so often something happens that reminds us that maybe we’re not all that typical after all. From winter to summer and all the months in between we have some weird traditions that we hold on to.

Once winter is really in full swing we always have our fingers crossed for a snow storm that's big enough to close schools. The best way to ensure that? Wearing our PJs turned inside out, of course! Why? Who knows, but we're not risking a good snow storm by not doing it.

We waited all summer for a snow day and when those first flakes start to fall, it's all we can do to keep from putting on a full snowsuit. No matter how much snow falls in that first storm, we look at it like it's the harshest winter we've ever seen.

In New Hampshire, maple syrup isn't just something you put on pancakes. It's the thing that makes our breakfasts!

Up here in the Granite State cold weather tends to come earlier than in other places. And so, we've gotten pretty used to bundling up for Halloween. Raise your hand if you've actually planned your costume around the weather?

It happens every year and every year we feel like our life is complete again. Those first cider donuts from a local orchard in September are the things that New Hampshire dreams are made of. In fact, we're drooling just looking at this photo. It's just not fall around here without stocking up on your favorites.

From hiking to outdoor dining to, yes, even camping, snow doesn't seem to keep us from enjoying the outdoors. If it did, it'd be a long wait for the summer months to arrive!
