New Hampshire is far, far away from Hollywood (that’s part of what we love about it!), but even movie stars love to come visit The Granite State. Some big name movies have come out of this little state. Here are a few you may not have known about!
1. Jumanji
The magic in this 1995 film featuring Robin Williams and Kirsten Dunst was made right here in Keene.
2. The Skulls
Parts of this 2000 secret society film featuring Joshua Jackson and Paul Walker were filmed at Dartmouth College in Hanover.
3. In Your Eyes
This story of a telepathic connection across the country was filmed in various towns in New Hampshire, including Claremont, Exeter, Manchester, Concord and Hooksett before its 2014 release.
4. On Golden Pond
This 1981 classic featuring Katherine Hepburn, Henry Fonda and Jane Fonda was filmed on Squam Lake.
5. The Good Son
This 1993 thriller featuring Macaulay Culkin and Elijah Wood has scenes filmed at Pease Air Force Base and in Jackson.
6. The Thomas Crown Affair
The glider flying scene in the 1968 original was filmed in Salem.
