Being from New Hampshire means a lot of things. It means being surrounded by constant beauty for one thing. It also means harsh winters, lots of layers and some funny looks from those you meet in other states. “You’re from where? Is that near Canada?” Indeed, there are some things about being from New Hampshire that seem to follow us around. Included on that list are some very distinct habits. You all probably do some of these things, but don’t worry – no one expects you to unlearn them!

There's nothing better than the sweetness of pure, local Maple syrup. So, why not put it on everything? We've been known to put it on pancakes, which isn't strange at all. But, if we're being honest, sometimes we'll put it on toast when we're in a hurry.
You might have friends from other states who have no idea what their state motto is. Some might not even know that a state motto is a thing. But here in New Hampshire? We live free or die!
Snow is so common here that anything less than a few inches doesn't even get talked about. So, we never expect a good snow day. But when we get it - it's a celebration!
