New Hampshire might be most famous for its primaries, great nature and outdoors activities, but we were curious what else might make this state famous. After some searching we compiled a list of things that are made right here in New Hampshire. Sure there are tons of crafts and local food, but the things on this list are things used in areas you might not even consider. We certainly didn’t! Check them out and see how many you use on a daily basis without even knowing you share a love of New Hampshire!
You've definitely seen these before and if you're smart, you've used one! Used to predict crops, weather and other natural occurrences, this book is one that every household should have. In print since 1792, it's the country's oldest continuously published periodical. They're based in Dublin, New Hampshire.

These baskets are truly one of a kind and they're made right here in - you guessed it - Peterborough! The technique for created them has been perfected over 159 years, which is how long they’ve been in business. You'll know it's a Peterboro Basked by the metal tag attached.

The family-run Globe Manufacturing Company has been family-owned since it's start 1887. Located in Pittsfield since 1901, this manufacturer created waterproof suits that have defined what is worn by the modern firefighter.

Ever gone into a restaurant and ordered a side of fries? We're guessing yes. You might not have known that those fries were very likely made with a piece of kitchen equipment made right here in the Granite State. The company was founded in 1918 by J.C. Pitman and today they operate in Bow and Concord. And, the fryers are sent out to over 100 different countries!
This company has been in business since 1922. Of course they make the recognizable shoe tree that you've seen forever in one closet or another, but today they've diversified to also carry shoe accessories, including boot jacks. You'll find them in Ashland.
