Before the year is over, visit one of New Hampshire's small towns. While they might not have the same buzz as the larger ones, the smaller variety have a strong sense of community and often offer untapped views and nature. The state's highest peak is also its most unforgiving. With multiple trails leading up to the top, along with a train and an autoroad you certainly don't have to do anything you're not comfortable with. But, however you choose to get to the top, let this be the year you try it! here!!

This incredible beachy area feels unique in New Hampshire. The emerald green water will make you wonder if you've left New England for warmer temps and the area is never so crowded that you can't find a space. The Presidential Range Rail Trail traces the train trips from yesteryear across some of the state's most dramatic landscapes. 18 miles long, it runs from Cherry Pond all the way to Gorham, though you can hop on the trail at a number of different spots on the way.
