With a population of 0 residents (yep, ZERO), the town of Jean, Nevada isn’t exactly a poppin’ vacation destination. It’s mainly considered a commercial hub, with the exception of an official town post office and courthouse. However, it’s here that you’ll find what’s been officially named the world’s largest Chevron gas station. The massive gas station was built in order to accommodate the thousands of travelers that pass through the Nevada-California state line every single day, and it’s actually pretty epic. This pitstop has all kinds of bells and whistles, so plan your next road trip accordingly so you can see it for yourself.
A larger-than-life gas station is hiding in the humble town of Jean, Nevada and it's actually kind of amazing. Considered the world's largest Chevron station, we think it's safe to say this place has much more to offer than gasoline and road snacks.
Boasting 96 gasoline pumps and 50,000-square-feet, this gas station is a real behemoth. Your first question when learning about this massive Chevron may simply be "Why?". Simply put, Jean needed something big to accommodate the 55,000 travelers that pass through every single day. We think this does the trick!
Also known as Terrible's Road House, this Chevron-branded station opened in July 2018. Situated on a well-traveled stretch of Interstate 15, it sees thousands of travelers every day. Yes, it has all of your gas station staples like gargantuan cups of soda and an endless array of Doritos, but you'll quickly find that it has so, so much more.
The gas station is truly one-of-a-kind, as it's loaded with boutiques and other unique offerings. Among some of the stores you'll find hiding inside are The Candy Village, the Red Bull Lounge, Jack Link's Wild Side, and The City Lights Distillery.
The place is also packed with quirky decor ranging from a 13-foot-tall Bigfoot to Riley Herbst's Nos Energy NASCAR vehicle. The Road House was designed not only as a fuel station, but a place for travelers to hang out, eat, drink, and play before hitting the road again.
The features of this gas station seem to be endless. It also boasts a 30-foot-long coffee bar, a 700-square-foot beer cave, and the third White Castle restaurant to open in southern Nevada. And of course, no Nevada gas station is complete without slot machines and video poker!
It's not very often you come across a gas station that is truly one-of-a-kind, but that's exactly what makes visiting this humongous Chevron station a requirement when passing through Jean. It's something you just have to see to believe, so visit the world's largest Chevron on your next road trip!
