Aliante Nature Discovery Park is hiding out in North Las Vegas and it's about to become your new favorite family hangout. This place has a little bit of everything for every member of the family. You could easily spend hours here having fun and making memories.
The focal point of the 20-acre park is a magnificent pond area, complete with a beautiful cascading waterfall. It truly feels like a little oasis in the middle of the desert. Wildlife such as geese and ducks can be seen making the pond their home.
However, one of the most popular components to the park is an "adventure playground" that was specifically designed to educate children about dinosaurs and paleontology. The area is located adjacent to the pond. You can't miss it—it's marked by a 26-foot tall Triceratops head!
Kids will have an absolute blast digging for dinosaur bones in the giant sandbox and walking through a tunnel comprised of what appears to be gigantic dinosaur ribs. This place is perfect for the young, aspiring paleontologist.
Nearby you'll find the playground that was constructed to look like an archaeologist's living quarters. Complete with thatched roofs, curving slides make it easy for "workers" to go back and forth between the excavation site.
