Nevada definitely knows good BBQ. And if we know anything, it’s that it’s always the hole-in-the-wall joints that end up impressing us the most. Hiding out in Fallon, Susie’s BBQ is a no-frills barbecue restaurant that you definitely don’t want to overlook. Renowned for their lip-smacking-good meats and quaint vibe, this place is a meat eater’s dream come true.
Get your hands on some of the tastiest BBQ in Nevada and stop by Susie's BBQ in the quaint community of Fallon. The restaurant itself is no-frills, but the food speaks for itself.
Susie's BBQ can be found in a humble red house structure at 787 W. Williams Ave. The restaurant is open Sunday through Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. This means you can get your meat fix any day of the week!
Susie's BBQ came to life back in 1997 when the Westgate family competed at the Nevada State Barbecue Championship in Carson City, Nevada. They came in 2nd place that year - if you're a BBQ enthusiast, you know that's a pretty big deal!
The Westgates then started selling their delicious barbecue at fairs, air shows, farmers markets, and car shows. In 1999, they joined the Kansas City Barbecue Society and started competing all around the West and beyond. They've definitely come along way over the decades, and it certainly shows.
Today, you can indulge in this award-winning BBQ for lunch or dinner any day of the week. The pork ribs are especially renowned, especially when slathered in one of their sweet and savory sauces.
The beef brisket or pulled pork sandwiches are also a great option. Be sure to load up on the sides, too! With delicious offerings like potato salad, beans, coleslaw, mac and cheese, and corn bread, you're sure to walk away from your meal more than satisfied.
