There’s also a visitor center, but they’re not quite open this early. You can always come back in the afternoon to enjoy a little park interpretation! We will say one thing: that sunrise is worth missing a lot for, but the park is its own wonder. Any time of day you can make it is a great time of day to be there.

The park is open year-round and has a number of wonderful campsites with grills, water, and shaded tables. There are also many trails to tempt those prone to taking lovely hikes.

But our recommendation? Go at sunrise and just spend your time soaking up the morning rays. The sunrise at the Valley of Fire never disappoints, and there’s no reason to even hike when all the natural beauty is coming to you in the great expanse of the very sky itself.
