Editor’s Note: Lee Canyon is not currently offering snow tubing.
Southern Nevada is one of the last places people (ahem, out-of-staters) think of when it comes to winter recreation destinations. However, it’s here that you’ll actually find one of the most underrated snow tubing parks in the country. Located in Clark County, Lee Canyon is truly a winter oasis. People have been flocking here for decades every winter in order to take advantage of the fresh powder and beautiful scenery. If you have yet to visit it, you’ll want to make this the winter that you do. Gather the family and pull out your snow pants from the back of the closet. This snow tubing park is begging for a visit.
Lee Canyon, also known as Las Vegas Ski and Snowboard Resort, can be found just 35 miles northwest of Las Vegas within the stunning scenery of the Spring Mountains National Recreation Area.
Every year, Lee Canyon proves itself to be one of the Silver State's top winter destinations. The resort is typically open from November through April. Although they are primarily known for their skiing terrain, you'll find an abundance of winter activities to partake in— like snow tubing!
The resort is home to one of the most underrated snow tubing parks in the country. Tubing is a great alternative for those who aren't into skiing but would still like to play in the snow. Plus, almost anybody can do it.
Once the tubing park opens up, you'll be able to buy access via sessions. A 90-minute session is $25 and allows guests to ride down the tubing hill as many times as they can muster during that time period.
Each tubing session includes a tube rental. All you have to do is come dressed warmly, since you're bound to get some snow on you as you race down the hill's lanes at top speed.
Tubing is one of those timeless activities that seems to never get old. It doesn't matter how old you are. You can't help but feel pure joy as the cold rush of wind invigorates every bone in your body.
Don't worry about climbing back up the hill once you've reached the bottom. A system of ropes is used to lug tubers back up the hill so they can do it all over again!
It's easy to see why huge crowds of people flock to this tubing park during the winter. This place is an absolute blast and it's a must-visit destination for any Nevadan. Have some fun in the snow and check it out this winter!
