Think of the word ‘Gunslinger’ and chances are images of quick-drawing riflemen and rivaling posses come to mind. Though gone are the days of the wild west, Nevada is one of the few places left where visitors can get a taste of this dusty by-gone era. What better (or fun!) way to experience the final frontier than by strapping on a pair of boots and heading down to Gunslingers restaurant. There, you’ll find a most perfect, rustic restaurant serving up big tastes.
Located in the southwestern corner of Nevada off of U.S. Route 93 is the modest town of Pioche. With a population of just over 1,000 people, it is easy to feel as though you’ve stepped back in time. Many of the buildings are historic, as the town was established in 1864 and still stands unincorporated today.
You will find Gunslingers located on Main Street. The building itself is a piece of old west history, having been erected during the 1890s.
Gunslingers may be small, but it packs an aesthetic punch. Wall-to-wall décor and attention to detail make this spot great for not just the menu, but for the rustic vibes, too.
Choose your seating inside or outside as the restaurant also offers picnic tables. If sitting inside, your eyes are sure to be as satisfied as your stomach with a fun hodgepodge of Old West-themed memorabilia and "Wanted" posters. For the curious, the history of the town is printed right on the Gunslingers menu.
