Located right along U.S. Route 95 in Mineral County is the little town of Hawthorne. Home to just a few thousand residents, this community is pretty quiet and unassuming. It’s easy to pass through without stopping…but don’t! Hiding out in town is Pepper’s Place, a tiny little eatery with drool-worthy burgers. Check it out:
Like many small towns, the remote town of Hawthorne, Nevada can be pretty limited when it comes to dining options. However, it's definitely home to some foodie gems, like Pepper's Place!
Pepper's Place is a unique dining spot that's become a favorite in this tight-knit little town. It's a '50s-style drive-up eatery that specializes in classic American food, and it definitely knows how to satisfy.
There's no better place to go when you're craving a giant, All-American burger. There are over 10 styles to choose from including The Patriot (double chargrilled burger with American cheese), The USA Triple (a Patriot burger with an extra patty), and the Jared Burger (double patty, bacon, extra cheese).
Any of the burger options could satisfy the largest of appetites, but the Bigfoot takes it a step further. Consisting of pulled pork, crispy chicken, and a beef patty covered in bacon, cheese, and BBQ sauce, this sandwich is NOT messin' around.
And if burgers aren't your thing, you'll have plenty of other options to choose from. The Shrimp Po' Boy, Cali Burrito, and Mushroom Philly are all popular options.
Mexican food, hot dogs, barbecue - Pepper's has it all. And despite their remote location, the kitchen takes great pride in serving up always freshly prepared, never frozen eats.
The next time you're traveling along the Highway 95 corridor, make sure to stop at Pepper's Place for a bite to eat. This unassuming restaurant is an oasis for those with big appetites and a craving for classic American cuisine.
