This three-day spectacular combines the arts, athletics, and partying set against some of Nevada’s most breathtaking mountain peaks. Now in their nineteenth year, the Fire and Ice Festival in Ely, Nevada brings together the community and invites you, too, to experience the great and majestic outdoors.
The festival is held every third weekend in January, regardless of weather conditions. In 2023, the festival will be from January 14th to January 16th.
Ely is known for its glorious snow! When the white stuff starts to fall, that’s the time to get outside and play! Rather than succumbing to cabin fever, the folks of Ely have found the perfect medicine - embracing winter’s snow and ice.
There will be so many fun activities to take part in, like ice bowling, ice horseshoes, and even ice disc golf! Take a fun wintery spin on fun classics. If you prefer to warm up inside, there will be many games indoors, too.
And don’t forget one of the main events as local artists show off their ice sculpting skills!
