The days of Prohibition may have taken place nearly a century ago but you can relive them to this day when you visit this hidden speakeasy. Designed to resemble an authentic Prohibition-era speakeasy, this place has easily proved itself to be one of Nevada’s most unique drinking destinations. Wet your whistle with some real moonshine and relax in an atmosphere that will make you swear you’ve been transported to the Roaring Twenties. However, be sure to learn the password beforehand because you might be turned away if you don’t! This place is wonderfully one-of-a-kind and it’s begging for a visit.
It's likely you're already aware of the wonderfully strange Mob Museum in Las Vegas. But did you know there's a hidden speakeasy located underneath it? Officially called The Underground at The Mob Museum, this speakeasy is the real deal and you need to see it with your own eyes.
The Underground is a relatively new addition to the bar scene in Las Vegas. It opened up just earlier this year. However, it's quickly become one of the most unique drinking destinations that Vegas has to offer...and that's saying a lot!
You'll find The Underground literally underneath The Mob Museum. Keep a lookout for this barrel outside of the museum and you'll know that you're close. Oh, and don't forget to learn the password ahead of time (Hint: the password can be found on their Instagram page at @mobmuseum_underground).
Prepare to feel like you've been transported back in time as you walk through the speakeasy's hidden door. The Art Deco-inspired atmosphere is wonderfully old-fashioned and sets the mood perfectly.
Be sure to slip into the small distillery room where you can see for yourself where The Underground produces their own moonshine made from corn mash.
Although the main room can fit roughly 100 people, you'll find some more private quarters behind secret entrances. The hidden VIP room accommodates around 12 people.
You'll find yourself amazed by various artifacts that can be found within the speakeasy. Items such as a beaded chiffon dress, a suitcase of hidden flasks, a small still that was used to make alcohol in a home, and much more are showcased.
Las Vegas had to be a fascinating place to be during the days of Prohibition. The city was full of secret bars that looked exactly like this one— places of debauchery and mischief. The ban on alcohol ended long ago but there's still something incredibly delightful about immersing yourself in the atmosphere of a secret speakeasy. Visit The Underground and see this unique place for yourself!
Doesn’t this hidden speakeasy look amazing? This place is definitely a blast from the past! If you enjoyed this place, you’ll definitely be into this Mob-Themed Restaurant In Nevada That Looks Straight Out Of The 1920s .
