Now all across Highway 50 you can see signs reminding you that you're driving across the loneliest road, an often chilling sight to see. With nearly nothing to see but open spaces, the drive along this road can often feel haunting.

The story goes, that a small group of Chinese miners were inside one of our mines when they became trapped, never to leave the cave again. In the late 1980's, miners in a nearby area would discover the remains of the group, removing them to finally be laid to rest.
In current times, those traveling along Highway 50 are said to have seen glowing lanterns and the Chinese miners crossing the road. Where are they headed you might ask? Legend has it that the miners make their way across the road every night, trying to find their way home.
