One of the most haunting stories associated with the Old Washoe Club is the ghost known as Lena. Visitors have reported seeing her apparition on or near the spiral staircase.
It is believed that Lena was a prostitute who was murdered in a third-floor bedroom. Horrifically, her murderer committed suicide on the second floor, and whose spirit has yet to leave the premises as well.
It’s not the only murder to have occurred on the grounds. There are also reports of a teenage girl who still wanders the basement, where she met her untimely death.
