When you’ve been driving for hours on end and your stomach finally starts grumbling, nothing hits the spot like a good ol’ greasy cheeseburger. The next time you find yourself driving through Fernley, make a stop at this quaint hotdog and hamburger hut a must. Located inside a bright pink shack on the side of the road, it’s hard to miss this beloved lunch spot so be sure to pull over and give it a chance!
Opened just last year, Yvonne's Hot Dogs (also known as just Yvonne's) has quickly become a well-loved part of the Fernley community. Serving up some of the tastiest burgers and dogs in town, this unassuming food shack is a must when you're driving through.
The unassuming hamburger hut came to be as a result of Yvonne Minix's passion for serving up delicious food to the people she loves. In fact, Minix's father was a huge fan of hot dogs, so she decided that opening up the stand was the perfect way to honor him after he passed away just a few years ago.
Minix began slinging burgers and dogs from a mobile cart which you could find around numerous parts of the city. She finally settled into the vibrant pink structure in January of last year, and it's been all uphill ever since!
Yvonne's specializes in serving up tasty classic American food. Hot dogs are in the eatery's name, but they are just as known for their burgers. With options ranging from delicious Bacon Cheeseburgers to Vegetarian Black Bean Burgers, there's a burger for everyone at Yvonne's.
If you'd rather check out Yvonne's namesake, you can't go wrong with the Holy Toledo—a hot dog with chili, fries, sriracha mayonnaise, and more. This special item isn't listed on the menu, but it's one of the most popular options.
It's places like this one that prove that looks aren't everything. Some of the most mouthwatering eats can be found in the least likely of places. Yes, even a pink shack on the side of the road! Visit Yvonne's at 135 W Main St, Fernley, NV 89408.
