There’s a very strange trend that’s taken the yoga community by storm in recent years and you may want to check it out if you consider yourself an animal lover. Goat yoga is exactly what it sounds like—yoga performed with goats—and it’s actually downright adorable. You don’t have to be a hardcore yogi to enjoy these classes, but you may just walk away with a greater appreciation for the fitness and meditation method if you do decide to attend a goat yoga class for yourself.
Yoga is meant to be a relaxing and peaceful experience, but there's one company in Nevada that likes to do it a bit differently. Goat Yoga Las Vegas specializes in bringing together yoga, nature, and plenty of baby goats for a unique yoga class you're bound to love!
Goat Yoga Las Vegas (GYLV) ensures that their classes are for everybody, regardless of age or skill level. Guided by experienced and knowledgable instructors, all guests are meant to feel welcome at these strangely refreshing classes.
GYLV has been offering classes since 2017 and they've come wildly popular among local yogis. The easygoing classes aren't meant to be super rigorous, but it's impossible to walk away from a session without a huge smile on your face. After all, hanging out with baby goats is a great away to de-stress and forget about your worries!
Classes are scheduled often and cost $30 per session. Outdoor classes are done for the season and won't start up again until March 2020, but private classes and indoor classes at Henderson Multigenerational Center are still offered throughout the winter.
Additionally, GYLV offers a wide variety of classes to choose from. Morning and mid-day classes are a great way to energize your day while evening classes are perfect for winding down. They even host a Sunset/Bottomless Wine class on select dates.
After each class, guests are welcome to hang out with the goats and take as many goat selfies as they'd like. The goats come from Petting Zoo 2 U, the city's only mobile petting zoo, and many of them are still babies. Goat yoga is a great way for them to become socialized with humans at a young age.
With the new year coming up, it's the perfect time to start trying new things...like a goat yoga class! Attend one of these unique classes and treat yourself to a strange but absolutely adorable experience unlike any other. More information about GYLV can be found here .
