Goodsprings is arguably one of Nevada’s most famous ghost towns. The historic town is located within Clark County and makes for a fascinating place to visit and a nice change of pace for nearby Las Vegas tourists. However, even locals find themselves enthralled with this place…and for good reason. Legend has it that Goodsprings is one of the most haunted destinations in Nevada and there’s even a ghost hunt to prove it. This reputable ghost hunt has been featured on TV and crowned “America’s Best Ghost Hunt”. If you have a fascination with the paranormal, then this activity is a must. However, it’s not for the faint of heart so do it only if you dare!
The quaint Western town of Goodsprings was founded back in 1904. It's nestled away in the foothills of the Spring Mountains and at one time it was considered the most productive mining district in the entire county. Today, the town's well-preserved buildings make for a fascinating attraction that paranormal enthusiasts won't be able to resist.
Orchestrated by a company called Vegas Specialty Tours, the Goodsprings Ghost Hunt is unlike any other haunted attraction in the state. There's no smoke or mirrors on this ghost hunt. What you see is truly what you get.
Your creep-tastic adventure will begin at the famous Pioneer Saloon after a complimentary ride from Las Vegas. Here you will be outfitted with lanterns and professional ghost hunting equipment before embarking on the darkened streets of Goodsprings.
As you stroll along the ghost town's streets, you'll come across the shadowy remnants of abandoned cabins, buildings, and even an old cemetery. During this time you will experiment with "dowsing rods", Electro Magnetic Field detectors, and Electro Voice Phenomena audio recorders. If the conditions are just right, you may capture something unbelievable.
Afterwards, you'll return to the Pioneer Saloon and attempt to make contact with the spirits that are believed to inhabit the saloon to this day. Just remember that there's no telling what type of spirit you may come in contact with, friendly or grumpy, and always be prepared for the unexpected.
This famous ghost hunt was featured on the popular Travel Channel television show "Ghost Adventures". Now you can have your own ghostly adventure to brag to your friends and family about! For more information, visit their website here .
