1. Great Basin National Park
Great Basin National Park, located in White Pine County, Nevada, is probably the least known national park in the southwest because it was just recently created in 1986. It's also pretty far away from famous landmarks. This beautiful park is great for camping, fishing and hiking. Entrance to the park is free.
2. Ethel M Chocolate Factory Tour
Ethel M Chocolates is located in Henderson, Nevada and is the only Ethel M factory in the world. Visitors will get to watch how much time and effort it takes to create the perfect sweet morsel. The factory is open daily from 8:30am-6pm. Live production hours are normally Mon-Fri until 4:30pm. The Ethel M Factory tour is free, but I'm willing to bet you'll be bringing some of their delicious chocolates back home with you.
3. World Famous "Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas" Sign
You simply can't visit Las Vegas without having your picture taken in front of the world famous "Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas" sign. The odd thing about this sign is that it's actually located in Paradise, Nevada - 4 miles from Las Vegas. Tourists don't seem to mind!
4. Fremont Street Experience Light Show
The Fremont Street Experience is the most popular attraction in downtown Las Vegas. This attraction features a 90ft high LED video screen canopy that covers 4 blocks of Fremont Street. The screen is made up of 12.5 million energy-efficient LED lamps. Fremont Street Experience entertains visitors nightly with a variety of light shows that begin at 6pm. Light shows currently feature the music of Heart, The Who, Bon Jovi and others. This light show is a definite must-see.
5. Pioneer Saloon
Take a peek inside the world famous Pioneer Saloon of Goodsprings, Nevada. This saloon has a lot of history and has also been featured in many movies and television shows. The Pioneer Saloon might also be the oldest stamped-metal tin building in the nation.

Many casinos in Nevada offer free gaming lessons for table games. You can get live instruction for games such as blackjack, roulette, craps, and more...all for free!
7. Truckee River Walk

These highly entertaining performances take place every half hour and last about 10 minutes. Everyone of all ages will enjoy this show.
9. Extraterrestrial Highway
Take a scenic drive down Nevada State Route 375, aka Extraterrestrial Highway, to see if you can spot any UFOs. Hey, anything is possible! If you're a fan of science fiction, this is a drive you'll definitely want to take.
10. Bellagio Fountains
One of the most popular attractions in Las Vegas is the Bellagio Fountains, located directly in front of the Bellagio Hotel & Casino. This spectacular fountain show is choreographed to more than 30 different songs. The fountain shows are free and run throughout the day, starting at 3pm.
