The idea for this charming museum came from three local women over coffee. While they sipped, they discussed the community's need for a local museum. In 1995, the Beatty Museum first opened in a small cottage.
The museum began to grow and grow. It soon outgrew the confines of the small cottage it started in! Today, you'll find the Beatty Museum in a historical church building on Main Street. It's definitely easy to spot, greeting over 35,000 on-site visitors every year.
